In New Orleans

I’m spending this week in New Orleans, downtown by the Superdome, on behalf of Target. Spent the evening with my teammates. My flight was seriously delayed in Dallas so we didn’t have to go into the store we’ve been sent to get back in shape. We went to Bourbon Street.

I don’t really recommend going there, honestly. But I was wearing my fabulous shirt that Rosanna gave me that says “GRACED!” across the front. I was so grateful for her.

My thoughts on New Orleans is that it’s very dark, as if the people were oblivious (actually, blind) to what’s been going on in their city. Business is continuing almost as usual, no one aware that God’s glory is the thing that they really need and that there’s a great obstacle to their getting it. I spent time in Port Au Prince, Haiti, so that dirtiness isn’t that much of a shock to me. Not as bad as Haiti, but definitely damaged and tarnished.

Pray for me, I don’t know how I can present Jesus to people through my actions and words and need wisdom to know how. It’s been good so far. But I really need Him badly. Salt and light, a beggar telling other beggars where to get bread.

Gotta get to sleep. At least WiFi works at the Holiday Inn.

I am praying for you, Honey... you know that. You have my 100% support. God's purposes for this trip are bigger than what either you or I have in mind now.
I'm glad WiFi works... and again, thank GOD for cellys!
